How do I tell when mixture, idle setting is right?

Thanks for replying to my post Jim, I was wondering how I am supposed to tell when the mixture and idle setting is right? Also - I think I've found the idle screw cover - on the right side of the carb - where is the mixture screw?

Thanks abunch - I just got the exhaust in from my dealer and I'm excited to start working on the thing.
